Dictionary

  • API – it is a mechanism that allows computer programs to communicate. The SALESmanago system consists of an open API which means that customers can integrate freely the SALESmanago system with other external systems e.g. CRM systems.   • attribute – it is a component used in the email structure to be later replaced with the personalized content. In SALESmanago attributes are used to place personalized elements in emails or website on the basis information gathered on the contact cards, e.g. by placing $name$ attribute in the greeting in the email, in the end, it will be replaced with the name of the user to which the email will be sent.

  • CFCR – is short for Contact Form Conversion Rate and it is a ratio of the generated contacts to the number of views of the form expressed as a percentage.

  • conversion – it is an action that you expect a user to perform, e.g. a purchase, registration via a form, downloading a file, etc.

  • CTOR – is short for Click to Open Rate and it shows the ratio of unique clicks number to the number of unique email opening expressed as a percentage.

  • CTR – is short for Click Through Rate and it shows the ratio of unique clicks number to the number of sent emails expressed as a percentage (it excludes hard and soft bounces).

  • details – these are non-standard information about the users which can be added to the contact card. It can serve as another way to organize contacts, personalize emails or filter the contacts. You can use up to 225 to name the detail and determine its value. Exemplary details: shoe size, favorite color, etc.  More information

  • dictionary details – these are additional pieces of information about the contacts which you can use while creating an automation rule that starts with an upcoming date from a detail or sending a periodic email. You can add dictionary detail manually or via API. To name a detail and determine its value you can use up to 225 characters  More information

  • domain – it consists of a name and extension, e.g. www.domain.com. In the SALESmanago system, a domain of your e-shop is one of the key information while adding product feeds or creating dynamic emails in which the products from your shop will be added to the email.

  • Lead Nurturing – it is a cycle of emails send to the contacts mainly for educational purposes in order to get contacts acquainted with the products and/or services the company provides.   • hard bounce – this is an autoresponder email send by a mail server to the sender that informs about the incapability of delivering an email. The reason for that may be an incorrect or non-existent email address.

  • opt-in – it is a status assigned to the contacts that have signed up for a subscription. The SALESmanago system differentiates email opt-in status that means that the contacts have agreed to receive emails. Apart from that, the contacts can be marked with phone opt-in status which means that you can send those contacts information via text messages. Opted-in contacts are marked with a green dot on the contact cards.

  • opt-out – it is a status assigned to the contacts that have signed out of a subscription. The SALESmanago system differentiates email opt-out status that means that the contacts have refused to receive emails. Apart from that, the contacts can be marked with phone opt-out status which means that contacts signed out of receiving text messages. Opted-out contacts are marked with an orange dot on the contact cards.

  • placeholder – it is a sample and replaceable text that appears in the field to give a hint to the user how it should be filled, e.g. Chicago may display in the registration form in the field indicating the city of residence.

  • selector – it is a mark that indicates a group of contacts; it is used when you address messages (e.g. phone_opted_in indicates contacts that are signed up for text messages). It may turn out to be useful in general contact management (e.g. if you want to activate a rule for the group of contacts, move contacts to the stage in the funnel or delete contacts, etc.) More information

  • soft bounce – it happens when email cannot be delivered. The reason why the email cannot be delivered may be temporary and the next attempt of sending email may turn out to be successful.

  • superuser – a superuser can perform all available actions in the system (e.g. adding other users), freely configure the application for other users and/or has a full access to the data gathered in the application and statistics concerning all email campaigns created in the system.   • tag – most operations supported by SALESmanago are based on tags, which are used to segment the contact database. They allow segregation of contacts stored in your database according to their interests, activity on the website, sex or how the contact has been sourced. You can use tags as a selector for directing actions towards contacts (e.g. sending emails). List of tags assigned to a user is available on the contact card. Tag names can consist of 125 characters and must be written in capital letters. You cannot use diacritical characters and spaces. Tags are separated by commas.   • URL – is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a computer network, e.g. http://domain.com/info/pricing.htm?. If you are asked to paste the URL address  (e.g. in Segmentation matrix wizard), paste this part of the URL: /info/pricing.htm?

  • UTM – it is a parameter that serves to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns from various sources and media directing to the website.
