Magento 2: Product detail synchronization
We are enhancing our integration with Magento 2 by introducing the capability to transfer product details from Magento 2 to SALESmanago via Product Catalogs. From now on, system details, custom details, and a number of other data fields (brand, manufacturer, popularity, season, color, bestseller, new_product) can also be transferred in real time.
The same improvement is planned for other plugins that offer real-time Product Catalog synchronization (PrestaShop, WooCommerce, and Shopify).

Email Marketing Settings: Bot action filtering
SALESmanago is adding the option to filter out bot interactions, including Apple’s Mail Privacy Protection (MPP), in the Email Marketing statistics (OR and CTR). You can find it in the Email Marketing Settings.
Note that this option affects email statistics displayed across the system, including Email Marketing, Workflows, the Contact Card, Reports, and more.

Email Marketing: Limiting periodic updates for non-used URL email templates
Previously, URL email templates were automatically refreshed even if they had not been used for a long time, placing an unnecessary burden on the system. From now on, periodic updates will be automatically deactivated if the email template has not been modified or sent within the past 30 days.
Templates that have been deactivated are clearly marked on the Email List, and their owners receive an email alert when deactivation occurs.

Preparations for Drag & Drop creator retirement
We are launching a campaign to inform you about the upcoming removal of the Drag & Drop email creator from the system.
For now, if you try to create a new email using this creator or duplicate an existing one, you will be notified that this tool will soon be retired. Starting from the end of October, it will no longer be possible to create new email templates with this creator, and by the end of the year, it will be fully removed from the system.

Previously, only mass (standard) mailings were taken into account when checking whether the Limit on the number of emails sent to a single Contact has been reached. Now, SALESmanago is expanding the scope of this filter to include other mailing types: A/B tests (including winning emails), periodic emails, birthday emails, and emails sent via the API.

Improved Email Marketing analytics: Distinguishing #anchors in URL addresses
We are enhancing the analytics of clicked email links. Now, the SALESmanago system will also recognize #anchors as distinctive URL fragments. Moreover, now you can configure the Workflow Event: Link in email clicked by Contact and the Workflow Condition: Contact clicked on link in email for URLs with specific anchors.

Besides email opened, email clicked, or email sent, you can also use a new activity type: Sending status, which allows you to filter Contacts based on the sending status of a specific email campaign.

Previously, to prevent unwanted emails from an ongoing mailing from being sent, you had to use the Emergency Email Brake or ask our Support for help. Now, SALESmanago allows you to cancel an entire ongoing mailing by going to Email MarketingEmail AnalyticsScheduled tab, finding the mailing on the list and clicking “Cancel”.

Google Ads: New requirements regarding consent to ad personalization

Previously, API recommendation scenarios could only be used for monitored Contacts. Now, you can use the Last Viewed scenario for anonymous visitors.
To accommodate this improvement, we are introducing two new fields in the API method: contactId and contactAnonymousId.

Previously, Product Catalogs and XML Product Feeds required the Default flag to be used in certain features but could be used in others even without this flag. Now, if the template cannot be refreshed, after three failed download attempts, the SALESmanago system will automatically notify you of the issue by email.

Fixed bug: Inability to send emails following the deletion of personalized banner Before, if you edited a personalized banner in a specific way (removed all graphics and saved the changes), it would cause a wrong value to appear in the SALESmanago database. This resulted in the customer being unable to send emails. Now, this issue has been fixed. Also, measures have been implemented to prevent similar bugs from occurring in the future.

Email Design Studio: Option to deactivate dark mode on iOS

Even before, emails created in the Email Design Studio that contained at least one image would automatically block the dark mode on iOS devices. Now this is also possible for emails that contain no images. To disable dark mode on iOS for your email, simply check the appropriate box in the Body settings section of the Email Design Studio menu.

NOTE: This option is currently not available for Android devices. However, we pay close attention to market changes. If Android introduces a similar mechanism in the future, it will be added to the Email Design Studio.
