This Condition is met if a Contact entered your website from the source specified in the Condition’s settings.
The source can be an external domain, your own domain, or a specific URL address on your domain.
IMPORTANT: This Workflow element requires additional website configuration on your part. Below, you will find useful information that you can pass to your developers. You can also contact our Support department (support@salesmanago.com) for more information and assistance.
The data required for this Workflow Condition to work is contained in the referrer header. At present, most browsers (including Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari) apply a restrictive referrer policy by default, which prevents the collection of certain information, including the search phrase entered by a user in the search engine prior to visiting a website.
For instance, in the case of Google Chrome, the default referrer policy is currently strict-origin-when-cross-origin
. If your website uses this policy, the Workflow Condition: Contact visited from specific source will not work because the search phrase entered by a user cannot be established. However, in the case of Google Chrome, this security setting can be overwritten. If you want to use this Workflow Condition, make sure to set a less restrictive referrer policy for your website, e.g., no-referrer-when-downgrade
.
Remember that the use of a less restrictive policy may mean that sensitive data included in URLs will be transferred to third-party websites. Avoid including sensitive data, such as session identifiers or tokens, in URLs.

After adding this Action to your Workflow, define the following settings:
[1] Source—Enter an external domain, your own monitored domain, or a URL address on your own monitored domain. The Condition will be met if any of your monitored domains is visited from the source specified in this field.
Do not include the protocol and the www subdomain.
In the case of an external domain, only the domain (or subdomain) must be entered in this field, e.g.: example.com or store.example.com. If a specific URL path for an external domain is provided, the Condition will not work.
If you want the Condition to be met when the source of a visit is your own monitored domain, you can enter only the domain or a full URL address.
EXAMPLES:
CORRECT: externaldomain.com; yourdomain.com; yourdomain.com/store/product/turtleneck-sweater.
INCORRECT: https://externaldomain.com; www.externaldomain.com; externaldomain.com/info/history; https://yourdomain.com; www.yourdomain.com.
