Workflow Event: Tag scoring reached or exceeded

This Event occurs when the scoring of a specific tag changes to a value equal to or greater than the specified threshold.

The Event will occur if the scoring of a tag is increased or decreased through:

  • a Workflow or an Automation Rule (Action: Increase/decrease tag scoring),
  • a Contact data transfer via API (provided that the fireEvents flag is set to true, which is the default setting).

The Event will not occur if the scoring of a tag is increased or decreased through:

  • a Contact data import from a CSV or XLSX file.

IMPORTANT:

  • The Event: Tag scoring is greater than or equal to will also occur if the tag scoring decreases but remains equal to or higher than the specified value. EXAMPLE: In the Event’s settings, you set the score to 5. A Contact’s tag has a scoring of 7. The scoring changes to 6. The Event will occur.
  • The Event: Tag scoring is greater than or equal to will occur each time the scoring of the selected tag(s) exceeds the specified value, provided that the previous Workflow in which this Event occurred has been completed. EXAMPLE: You create a Workflow in which the Event: Tag scoring is greater than or equal to is the triggering Event. In the Event’s settings, you enter the tag: PURCHASE, which is assigned to a Contact when they make a purchase. You set the score to 20. On January 6th, a Contact makes a purchase and their scoring for the tag PURCHASE changes to 20. The Workflow is triggered for this Contact on the same day and is completed (i.e., the final Action in this Workflow is carried out) on January 10th. On January 8th, the Contact makes another purchase and their scoring for the tag PURCHASE changes to 21. The Workflow will not be triggered again because the previous Workflow is still in process. On January 11th, the Contact makes yet another purchase and their scoring for the tag PURCHASE changes to 22. The Workflow will be triggered again because the previous Workflow has been completed.

After adding this Event to your Workflow, define the following settings:

[1] Tag—Enter the tag that will cause the Event to occur when its scoring changes to a value equal to or greater than the value specified in [2].

You can enter more than one tag in this field. The tags will be connected by the AND operator, which means that the Event will only occur for a Contact if:

  • the scoring of one of the tags has changed to a value equal to or higher than the specified valueand
  • all the other tags have a scoring value equal to or higher than the specified value.

[2] Score—Specify the scoring that the tag(s) entered in field [1] need(s) to reach (or exceed) for the Workflow to be triggered.

[3] Follow an alternative path after—This option will only be available if this Event is not the triggering Event for the Workflow (i.e., if it is preceded by another Event, a Condition, or an Action, and not directly connected with the Start element). Here, you can specify the time after a previous Event/Condition/Action for which the system will wait for this Event to occur.

If the Event occurs within the specified time, the primary path will be followed immediately.

If the Event does not occur within the specified time, the alternative path will be followed.
