On the SALESmanago platform, you can define certain advanced email settings that will apply to all your emails. The settings concern the maximum number of emails that can be sent to a single Contact within a specific time period, the days of the week on which email messages can be sent, and the use of link redirects in your emails.

To define advanced email settings, go to
Settings → Other → Other → Application tab → Advanced email settings
Contents
1. Getting started
SALESmanago allows you to set limits on the number of emails that can be sent from your account to a single user within one day, week, and month. You can specify separate limits for the total number of emails sent to a single Contact, emails sent as part of mass mailings, and emails sent as part of active Automation Processes (Automation Rules and Workflows). If on any day the number of emails intended for a single Contact exceeds these limits, any excess emails will be blocked and never sent to that Contact.
You can also choose to allow emails to be sent only on specific days of the week, and to enable the use of redirects.
To define advanced email settings, go to Menu → Settings → Other → Other → Application tab → Advanced email settings.
2. Advanced email settings
[1] Email frequency filter—check this option if you want to specify the maximum number of emails that can be sent to a single Contact within a period of time.
If you check this box, new options will appear:
[A] Use only day filter—check this box if you only want to limit the number of email messages that a Contact can receive per day. Use the drop-down list to specify the maximum number of emails per Contact per day.
NOTE: If you check this box, options [B], [C], and [D] (see below) will disappear.
[B] Mass emails—use the drop down lists to specify how many emails sent as part of mass mailings a Contact can receive within one day/week/month. You can specify one, two, or all three values.
[C] Emails from Rules and Workflows—use the drop down lists to specify how many emails sent from Automation Processes (Automation Rule or Workflow) a Contact can receive within one day/week/month. You can specify one, two, or all three values.

[D] All emails—use the drop down lists to specify how many emails (of any type) a Contact can receive within one day/week/month. You can specify one, two, or all three values.
EXAMPLE: If you choose the following settings:
no Contact will receive more than two mass mailings per day; no Contact will receive more than 4 emails from Automation Processes per day; and no Contact will receive more than 15 emails of any type per month.
[2] Filter by day of the week—you want to allow emails to be sent from your account only on certain days of the week, check the appropriate boxes. For example, if you select all options except for Sunday, emails that should be sent on Sundays will be sent on the following day (Monday).
If you want to allow emails to be sent on bank holidays, check the box Send on holidays [A].
NOTE: The system list of holidays includes New Year, Easter, and Christmas (December 25 and 26), as well as other regional holidays. It may not include your country’s national holidays.
NOTE: Remember about the filters applied in this section when sending emails. If you want to make sure that an email reaches all the intended recipients, irrespective of any active email filters, check the option Ignore advanced email filters on the sending screen:
NOTE: If you click the Count button on the sending screen, the result displayed does not take into account any filters that may apply to any of the selected Contacts. This is why the number shown at this stage may differ from the number you can later see in the Email Analytics.
[3] Use redirect in mailings—when this option is enabled, links included in emails lead to the target page through the SALESmanago counting system. The redirection process takes approx. 30 milliseconds and is unperceivable by the user. Thanks to this function, the SALESmanago system is able to count users’ clicks in emails.
WARNING: If you turn off this option:
- links included in emails will lead directly to the destination website.. As a result, the SALESmanago system will be unable to track clicks and provide you with CTR statistics and click maps.
- Automation Processes will only be triggered for links leading to your monitored website.
