Workflow Event: Key Information provided by Contact

The Event: Key Information provided by Contact occurs when a Contact provides specific Key Information via the Customer Preference Center.

Key Information is a parameter that refers to a specific feature or preference of a Contact. Key Information is comprised of two parts: attribute and value. The attribute is what the information concerns, whereas the value allows you to define the attribute specifically. By using the Event: Key Information provided by Contact, you can automatically personalize communication with a customer the moment they provide Key Information via the Customer Preference Center. In practice, this means that a Workflow (or its part) including this Event will be triggered if the SALESmanago system records the provision of specific Key Information by a Contact.

After adding this Event to your Workflow, define the following settings:

[1] Key Information—Use the drop-down list to select the Key Information which, when provided by a Contact, will cause the Event to occur. The list contains all Key Information items created in the system.

[2] Follow an alternative path after—This option will only be available if this Event is not the triggering Event for the Workflow (i.e., if it is preceded by another Event, a Condition, or an Action, and not directly connected with the Start element). Here, you can specify the time after a previous Event/Condition/Action for which the system will wait for this Event to occur.

If the Event occurs within the specified time, the primary path will be followed immediately.

If the Event does not occur within the specified time, the alternative path will be followed.
